O trabalho de Hier, writer natural da Linha da Azambuja, já apresenta alguma diversidade e consistência, apesar do seu interesse pelo graff ter começado há "apenas" 7 anos.

Membro dos GWK (que vê como uma família), a sua preferência recai nos trains e armazéns abandonados, tendo explorado, nos últimos tempos, a passagem para as telas.

Foi nos abandonados que tomei contacto com a sua obra. A solo ou com os seus, são vários os trabalhos deste writer que podem ser descobertos nas zonas envolventes de Vila Franca de Xira.

Sem medo de arriscar, gosta de introduzir pequenas figuras nos seus letterings ou de juntar vários tipos de letras numa mesma obra.

Para o futuro, o writer pretende continuar a pintar, aperfeiçoar a sua técnica e, acima de tudo, colorir as ruas e comboios.

Qual o significado do teu tag?

O significado do meu tag é desconhecido... Gostei da combinação das letras e ficou. Apesar da tradução ter significado noutras línguas!

Tens formação em arte?

Não tenho qualquer formação em arte ou algo do género. Estudei apenas comunicação e design e apliquei os meus conhecimentos sobre arte, em formato digital!

Quando começou o teu interesse pelo graffiti e quais foram as tuas influências na altura?

Tudo começou em 2010 quando um primo meu de Almada me mostrou uns tags e umas pinturas dele. Cheguei a acompanhá-lo quando ele pintava. Pensei que poderia experimentar também e comecei a reparar mais nas pinturas na street e nos trains. Via muito as peças na autoestrada. Tudo isso me influenciou!

Como era a cena no graffiti quando começaste?

Quando comecei a interessar-me pelo movimento, comecei a decorar todos os writers que via, já sabia as crews a que pertenciam, já reconhecia facilmente pelo style... Estava mesmo muito atento a tudo. E para um miúdo que não tinha pintado nada ainda, tudo me fascinava. É de referir que, hoje em dia, ainda sinto bastante a influência desses writers que eu tanto via na altura e ainda hoje acompanho.

Fui comprando latas, muitas vezes do chinês, ou juntava uns trocos e comprava umas melhores e ia treinando.

Quais são as tuas crews?

A minha crew é a minha família, GWK. É e sempre será!

Quais são os teus spots / cidades preferidos?

Os meus spots preferidos são os mais visíveis. Aqueles que consegues ter a certeza que todos os dias as pessoas vêem e que até fazem parte do dia a dia das pessoas! Ahah

Apesar de que curto também estar num armazém nas calmas com o meu pessoal. E, como qualquer writer, nem preciso de referir os trains...

Em relação às cidades preferidas, adoro Lisboa. Quero muito ir ao Porto. E também quero ir para fora!

Wall of fame, Street bombing ou Train bombing?

Adoro os 3, mesmo! Acho que tudo isso é que completa um writer. Conseguir fazer um pouco de tudo é bastante importante. Aperfeiçoas tudo num fame, passas um bom tempo com os rapazes e tens visibilidade na street e nos trains. Gosto daquela adrenalina de mandar um panel com o pessoal... É uma sensação única e que, para quem faz, sabe bem!

Como é o teu processo criativo e onde vais buscar as tuas inspirações?

Eu vou buscar inspirações aos meus, aos da minha crew. Motivamo-nos uns aos outros, trocamos ideias e tento experimentar várias cenas diferentes.

Gosto de ver as peças que andam a aparecer na rua, nas autoestradas e nos trains. Sou muito atento a isso.

Gosto de preparar tudo, principalmente as cores.

Pintas com sketch ou freestyle?

Nunca uso um sketch. É rara a vez que alguém me viu com um sketch, ahah... Desenho bastante em casa, para ir treinando novas cenas. Mas o freestyle está sempre presente. Acho que mesmo que se tenha um sketch, deve haver um pouco de improviso, porque é uma excelente forma de evoluir.

Qual é a tua lata preferida?

Pinto com qualquer marca. No ano passado, posso dizer que usei, maioritariamente, Montana Black. Curti muito mesmo. Também gosto de Loop, Kobra e Mtn, quando lá tem que ser...

Preferes pintar sozinho ou em grupo?

Como é óbvio, com os meus! Mas é sempre bom ir pintar um dia ou outro a solo. Acho que faz bem também.

Com quem gostas de pintar?

Gosto de pintar com os meus, mas também gosto de me juntar a outros writers e gosto de conhecer pessoal. Acho que faz parte do graffiti e é saudável. Tanto em Portugal como lá fora tenho alguns amigos.

O que toca na tua playlist quando pintas?

Normalmente, o pessoal é que mete o som a tocar. Não me lembro de pintar a curtir o meu som nos fones. Gosto de ouvir música na coluna e conviver, ao mesmo tempo, com a malta. Mas sempre rap, claramente!

Qual é o teu melhor trabalho?

Eu tento sempre evoluir a cada peça que faça. Tento sempre manter a qualidade e experimentar novas dicas. Gostei bastante do fame que dei em Torres Novas em 2018. Mas há muitas peças de que gosto e que me deixam satisfeito!

Qual é o teu top 3 de writers portugueses?

Pergunta difícil, que nunca costumo responder... A meu ver, cada um tem as suas qualidades e os seus valores. O que define para mim um “Top” é a qualidade, a atividade e, sobretudo, o ser real. Todos os que acompanho e dou propz eles sabem quem são. Mas é de referir e é notória a bruta atividade no Porto, Lisboa e Algarve.

E de writers estrangeiros?

Acompanho o graff lá fora também, obviamente, e há muita atividade. Há muitos writers que curto e têm muita qualidade...

Como descreves o panorama atual do graffiti em Portugal?

O graffiti em Portugal está num bom nível e acho que vai sempre aumentar. É algo que nunca morrerá. Há muitos writers ativos e reais. Eu sou da nova escola, claro, mas reconheço que há sempre mais velhos a ajudar os mais novos e assim é que deve ser. Há que dar continuidade ao movimento.

Eu acompanho, como já disse, muito pessoal desde mais velhos aos mais novos. Estamos todos cá para o mesmo, há que haver respeito e há tinta para todos.

Quais são os teus planos / projetos futuros?

Os meus planos são manter-me ativo. Quero continuar a pintar, continuar a caminhar com os meus para, um dia mais tarde, conseguir ajudar os mais novos e dar continuidade ao movimento. Se cada um der um bocado de si, acho que será tudo muito melhor.

Tens alguma história que queiras partilhar?

Claro. Tenho várias, mas vou contar uma engraçada.

Eu, FUGS, FISK, TREZE e EZOL. Cascais, início de 2020, ahah. Fomos todos dar um panel GWK. Pintámos na boa, com 2 sugas a assistir e deu até para fumar um cigarro porque me pareceu tudo tranquilo. Quando saímos da estação, vimos o carro da PSP, aquele Capture, ahah... Treze escapou na boa, FISK e FUGS meteram-se num arbusto e eu e o EZOL fomos abordados. Fizeram montes de perguntas, tiraram-nos telemóveis e tudo. Revistaram-nos mas não encontraram provas nenhumas, porque se esqueceram de ir ao meu bolso do casaco ver os caps e as luvas. Depois de meia hora a levar pressão de alguns 15 bófias, ligaram para os seguranças e eles disseram que não se passou nada...

The work of Hier, a writer from Linha da Azambuja, already has some diversity and consistency, despite his interest in graff started "only" 7 years ago.

A member of the GWK (who sees it as a family), his preference falls on trains and abandoned warehouses, having recently explored the passage to the paints. It was in the abandoned that I got in touch with his work. Solo or with his crew members, there are several works by this writer that can be discovered in the surrounding areas of Vila Franca de Xira. Without fear of taking chances, he likes to introduce small figures in his letterings or to join several types of letters in the same work. For the future, the writer intends to continue painting, perfecting his technique and, above all, coloring the streets and trains.

What is the meaning of your tag?

The meaning of my tag is unknown ... I liked the combination of the letters and stayed. Although the translation has meaning in other languages!

Do you have art training?

I don't have any training in art or anything like that. I studied only communication and design and applied my knowledge of art in digital format!

When did your interest in graffiti start and what were your influences at the time?

It all started in 2010 when a cousin of mine from Almada showed me some tags and paintings of him. I came to accompany him when he painted. I thought I could try it too and started to notice more of the paintings on the street and on the trains. I saw the paints on the highway a lot. All of this influenced me!

What was the graffiti scene like when you started?

When I started to get interested in the movement, I started decorating all the writers I saw, I already knew the crews they belonged to, I already recognized them easily by style ... I was really very attentive to everything. And for a kid who hadn't painted anything yet, everything fascinated me. It should be noted that today I still feel the influence of these writers that I saw so much at the time and still follow today.

I went to buy cans, often from the chinese shops, or collected some change and bought better ones and went on training.

What are your crews?

My crew is my family, GWK. It is and always will be!

What are your favorite spots / cities?

My favorite spots are the most visible. Those who can be sure that every day people see and that they are part of people's daily lives! Ahah

Although I also like to be in a calm warehouse with my people. And, like any writer ... I don't even need to mention trains ...

In relation to the favorite cities, I love Lisbon. I really want to go to Porto. I also want to go outside!

Wall of fame, Street bombing or Train bombing?

I really love the 3! I think all of this is what completes a writer. Being able to do a little bit of everything is very important. You perfect everything in a fame, you spend a lot of time with the boys and you have visibility on the street and on the trains. I like that adrenaline rush of sending a panel with the crew ... It's a unique sensation and, for those who do, it tastes good!

How is your creative process and where do you get your inspiration from?

I will seek inspiration from mine, from my crew. We motivate each other, exchange ideas and try to experience several different scenes.

I like to see the pieces that are appearing on the street, on highways and on trains. I am very attentive to that.

I like to prepare everything, especially the colors.

Do you paint with sketch or freestyle?

I never use a sketch. It is a rare time that someone saw me with a sketch ahah ... I draw enough at home to go training new scenes. But freestyle is always there. I think that even if you have a sketch, there must be a little bit of improvisation because it is an excellent way to evolve.

What is your favorite can?

I paint with any brand. Last year, I can say that I mostly used Montana Black. I really liked it. I also like Loop, Kobra and Mtn when it has to be ...

Do you prefer to paint alone or in a group?

As is obvious with mine! But it is always good to go to paint one day or another solo. I think it does well too.

Who do you like to paint with?

I like to paint with mine, but I also like to join other writers and I like to meet people. I think it's part of graffiti and it's healthy. Both in Portugal and abroad I have some friends.

What do you play in your playlist when you paint?

Usually, the people put the sound to play. I don't remember painting and enjoy my sound on the headphones. I like to listen to music on the column and live with the guys at the same time. But always rap, clearly!

What is your best job?

I always try to evolve with each piece I make. I always try to maintain quality and try new tips. I really liked the fame I gave in Torres Novas in 2018. But there are many pieces that I like and that make me satisfied!

What is your top 3 of Portuguese writers?

Difficult question, which I never usually answer ... In my opinion, each one has its qualities and its values. What defines me as a “Top” is quality, activity and, above all, being real. Everyone I follow and propose they know who they are. But it is noteworthy and the gross activity in Porto, Lisbon and Algarve is notorious.

And foreign writers?

I follow the graff out there too, obviously, and there is a lot of activity. There are many writers that I like and have a lot of quality ...

How do you describe the current landscape of graffiti in Portugal?

Graffiti in Portugal is at a good level and I think it will always increase. It is something that will never die. There are many active and real writers. I am from the new school, of course, but I recognize that there are always older people helping the younger ones and that is how it should be. The movement must be continued. I follow, as I said, very personal from the oldest to the youngest.

We are all here for the same, there must be respect and there is ink for everyone.

What are your future plans / projects?

My plans are to stay active. I want to continue painting, continue to walk with mine so that one day later I will be able to help the youngest and continue the movement. If each one gives a lot of themselves I think everything will be much better.

Do you have a story you want to share?

Of course. I have several but I will tell you a funny one.

Me, FUGS, FISK, TREZE and EZOL. Cascais, early 2020 ahah. We all went to give a GWK panel. We painted it cool, with 2 sucks to watch and it was even possible to smoke a cigarette because it seemed all quiet. When we left the station, we saw the PSP car, that Capture ahah ... Thirteen escaped, FISK and FUGS got into a bush and EZOL and I were approached. They asked lots of questions, took out cell phones and everything. They searched us but found no evidence, because they forgot to go to my coat pocket to see the caps and gloves. After half an hour taking pressure from some 15 cops, they called security and they said nothing happened ...
