Na Margem Sul, são várias as peças de Hern pelo Concelho de Almada. O writer gosta da cidade mas não a considera o seu sítio preferido para pintar. Prefere mais girar e pintar em vários sitios diferentes. Especialmente trains.
Membro dos SBF e da FYA crew, são várias as suas presenças em jams e fames com os seus. Quanto à tinta, prefere as cores para os trains e o silver para a street.
Numa mensagem para a nova geração de writers, espera que mantenham o graffiti verdadeiro, que o façam por love e com amigos reais e não por interesses e falsa fama. Que não esqueçam nunca o que já foi feito e procurem sempre inovar e melhorar. Acima de tudo, que haja respeito e humildade e muita tinta por essas ruas e linhas.
Quanto a ele, vai tentar cá andar até conseguir... à espera da próxima parede, do próximo comboio ou da próxima tarde bem passada entre amigos.
Qual o significado do teu tag?
Não significa nada em específico, foi só uma junção de letras que fiz quando comecei e que ficou até hoje…
Tens formação em arte?
Nada. A formação foi (e continua a ser) o que vejo nas ruas.
Quando começou o teu interesse pelo graffiti e quais foram as tuas influências na altura?
Comecei bem puto em 98 a dar uns tags com o meu pessoal e comecei mesmo a pintar em 99.
Influências da altura foram o ISER (melhor writer de sempre da margem sul) e o Byzar que estava por Lisboa inteira.
Como era a cena no graffiti quando começaste?
Era poupar o dinheiro do almoço para ir à Big Punch safar um preto e um silver.
Tudo mais fechado, não havia o acesso à net que há hoje em dia, o crescimento e desenvolvimento de novos styles demorava muito mais tempo... mas faz parte da evolução do movimento e temos de nos ir adaptando.

Quais são os teus spots / cidades preferidos?
Sempre curti pintar em vários spots e cidades diferentes, acho que me sinto bem em todas quando tudo corre bem…
Wall of fame, Street bombing ou Train bombing?
Sempre preferi train, mas também curto street bombing e de ver o meu nome espalhado pelas ruas. Fame é mais numa de passar uma tarde tranquila com o pessoal a beber umas birras.
Como é o teu processo criativo e onde vais buscar as tuas inspirações?
Inspiração são os meus amigos e tudo o que me rodeia.
Pintas com sketch ou freestyle?
Sketch só se for para um fame, de resto é o que sair.
Preferes pintar sozinho ou em grupo?
Prefiro pintar com os meus.
Com quem gostas de pintar?
Não costumo pintar com muita gente. Com o pessoal das minhas crews e mais 2 ou 3 pessoas que sei que são reais.
O que toca na tua playlist quando pintas?
Normalmente, não dá para ouvir som... o som é a voz do checker do outro lado do telemóvel. Mas, se for uma cena mais tranquila, normalmente é rap.
Qual é a tua lata preferida?
Hoje em dia, loop e mtn mega.
Qual é o teu top 3 de writers portugueses?
Os meus top writers são todos os das minhas crews.
Fora eles, posso dizer Geks, Miks e Obey.
E de writers estrangeiros?
Como descreves o panorama atual do graffiti em Portugal?
Acho que não está mau, apesar de haver muito boa gente que se esqueceu das bases e que quer começar logo no terraço do prédio.
Há muita gente da nova geração aí forte no movimento dentro e fora de Portugal e também houve muito people oldschool a voltar a pintar nos últimos tempos, o que é bom.
Os mais velhos têm de ter respect pelos mais novos que estão na atividade nos trains e subs e os mais novos têm de mostrar respect pelos mais velhos que já deram muito por isto e já fizeram muita coisa.
Qual é o teu melhor trabalho?
É difícil dizer isso. Um graff cheio de cores com bonecos e etc para a maioria do people vai ser o melhor trabalho e para mim pode ser “só mais um”, enquanto uma cena de 7 minutos a astro fat, com uma boa missão, pode transmitir-me muito mais feelings.
Quais são os teus planos / projetos futuros?
Os meus planos são pintar enquanto conseguir, mais ou menos vezes, mas estar aí sempre de surra…
Tens alguma história que queiras partilhar?
Há várias. Mas acho que o normal são fugas da bófia, justiceiros, tiros, noites na rua, umas quantas horas escondido no mato… Mas, normalmente, tento controlar bem as coisas para evitar estes imprevistos...

On the South Bank, there are several pieces by Hern throughout the Municipality of Almada. The writer likes the city but does not consider it his favorite place to paint. Prefers more to rotate and paint in several different places. Especially trains.
Member of the SBF and the FYA crew, there are several of his presences in jams and fames with his partners. As for the ink, he prefers the colors for trains and silver for the street.
In a message for the new generation of writers, he hopes that they keep the graffiti true, that they do it for love and with real friends and not for interests and false fame. May they never forget what has already been done and always seek to innovate and improve. Above all, let there be respect and humility and lots of paint on these streets and lines.
As for him, he'll try to walk here until he can... waiting for the next wall, the next train or the next afternoon well spent among friends.
What is the meaning of your tag? It doesn't mean anything in particular, it was just a combination of letters that I made when I started and that has remained until today... Do you have an art background? Nothing. The learning was (and still is) what I see on the streets.
When did your interest in graffiti start and what were your influences at the time? I started really young in 98 tagging with my people and I really started painting in 99. Influences at the time were ISER (best writer ever on the south bank) and Byzar, who was all over Lisbon.
What was the graffiti scene like when you started? It was saving the lunch money to go to Big Punch and get a black and a silver. Everything more closed, there was no access to the net that we have nowadays, the growth and development of new styles took much longer... but it is part of the evolution of the movement and we have to adapt.

What are your favorite spots / cities?
I've always enjoyed painting in many different spots and cities, I think I feel good in all of them when everything goes well…
Wall of fame, Street bombing or Train bombing?
I always preferred train, but also like street bombing and seeing my name spread through the streets. Fame is more for spending a quiet afternoon with people drinking beers.
How is your creative process and where do you get your inspirations?
Inspiration are my friends and everything around me.
Do you paint with sketch or freestyle? Sketch only if it's for a fame, otherwise it's what comes out. Do you prefer to paint alone or in a group? I prefer to paint with mine. Who do you like to paint with? I don't usually paint with a lot of people. With people from my crews and 2 or 3 other people who I know are real. What plays on your playlist when you paint? Normally, you can't hear sound... the sound is the voice of the checker on the other side of the cell phone. But if it's a more relaxed scene, it's usually rap.
What is your favorite can?
Nowadays, loop and mtn mega.
What is your top 3 Portuguese writers?
My top writers are all of my crews. Apart from them, I can say Geks, Miks and Obey.
And foreign writers?
How would you describe the current panorama of graffiti in Portugal?
I don't think it's bad, despite the fact that there are very good people who forgot the bases and want to start right away on the building's terrace. There are a lot of new generation people there, strong in the movement inside and outside Portugal and there have also been many oldschool people returning to paint in recent times, which is good. The older ones must have respect for the younger ones who are in the activity on trains and subs and the younger ones must show respect for the older ones who have give a lot for this and have done a lot.
What is your best work? It's hard to say that. A full color graff with puppets etc for most people will be the best work and for me it can be “just one more”, while a 7 minute astro fat scene, with a good mission, can give me more good feelings.
What are your future plans / projects? My plans are to paint as long as I can, more or less often, but always be present...
Do you have a story you want to share? There are several. But I think that the normal ones are police escapes, vigilantes, gunshots, nights in the street, a few hours hidden in the woods... But, normally, I try to control things well to avoid these unforeseen events...
