Não menosprezando todos os meus outros convidados, é sempre com grande satisfação que apresento as entrevistas com artistas / writers estrangeiros.
Quando iniciei este projeto, era um mero interessado por fotografia urbana com uma conta de Instagram que procurava marcar a diferença e apresentar as obras dos novos valores do graff e da street art nacionais (alguns deles menos conhecidos) a par com as dos nomes já consagrados. Assim, é com uma ponta de orgulho que vejo o percurso que já percorri até aqui (e o muito que o meu blog ainda pode vir a crescer), tendo todo o esforço e dedicação resultado numa série de entrevistas que já ultrapassaram as fronteiras nacionais.
Depois da francesa Elgée, do indonésio Nors, do espanhol Tr3scatorce e dos brasileiros Refém, Rosarlette Meirelles e Harte (para além dos fotógrafos Wojtek Ścibor e STREET ART DAMSKO), o meu mais recente entrevistado é proveniente da França.
Foi no Instagram que descobri o trabalho de BUSH. Quando fazia uma sessão de scroll, as obras deste writer cativaram-me a atenção pelos seus estilos (throwup e bubble), o uso de cores primárias e a forma como usa os espaços abandonados para realçar os seus trabalhos.
Como acontece com os artistas / writers cujo trabalho aprecio e que sinto que merece ser divulgado, enviei-lhe um convite para uma entrevista, o qual foi prontamente aceite.

Qual é o significado do teu tag?
BUSH ou BUSHUP é o meu nome nos estilos Throwup / Bubble.
Quando eu era mais novo, BUSH era a minha alcunha, porque eu tinha o cabelo como um bosquímano ... ahahah.
Tens formação em arte?
Sou autodidata, a minha escola é a rua. ;) As paredes serviram para treinar.
Quando começou o teu interesse pelo graffiti e quais foram as tuas influências na altura?
Muito cedo. Eu tinha uns 13 ou 14 anos, morava num prédio de apartamentos à frente de um supermercado e ia roubar latas para fazer tags. Nada de graffiti, só tags de vândalo ... Eu fiz o meu primeiro graffiti aos 17 anos e pintei até aos 21 anos. Depois parei por um longo período, porque a vida levou-me por outro caminho, até ao final de 2019.
Como era a cena no graffiti quando começaste?
Para mim, a cena do graffiti ainda era bastante inspirada nos estilos throwup ou block de Nova York.
Quais são as tuas crews?
Não tenho uma crew, apenas amigos com quem adoro pintar ou pessoas que conheço. Apenas pelo sentimento.
Em quantos países já pintaste?
Apenas na França! Eu (re)comecei a pintar antes da Covid ... era proibido viajar.
Quais são os teus spots / cidades favoritos?
O meu lugar favorito é Toulouse. Também gosto das estradas do interior.
Wall of fame, Street bombing ou Train bombing?
Sem dúvida, Street bombing.
Como é o teu processo criativo e onde vais buscar as tuas inspirações?
Eu não tenho propriamente um processo criativo. Eu rabisco os meus throwups, o dia todo, em pedaços de papel. Sem lápis ou borracha, apenas uma caneta ou marcador, num único lance. É mecânico, posso fazer o mesmo flop 500 a mil vezes. De vez em quando faço um novo, da mesma forma, que desenho dezenas, centenas de vezes ... Quando estou à frente da parede, tenho as minhas formas gravadas na minha cabeça.
Pintas com sketch ou freestyle?
Sem esboço, apenas o sentimento do momento !! Freestyle !!
Qual é a tua lata favorita?
Para a rua Montana (Hardcore & 94) e Loop, para tela Molotow premium.
O que toca na tua playlist quando pintas?
Ahahah, Big rap bem pesado ou reggae !!
Como avalias o nível de graffiti do teu país?
Grande nível !! É demais, talvez ...
Qual é o teu top 3 de writers? Algum português?
Não tenho 3 writers específicos. Com a internet, eu descubro novos pintores, todos os dias, que são sempre melhores !!
Não conheço nenhum pintor português em particular, mas quando vou a Portugal encontro pintores fantásticos.
Que outros writers franceses valem a pena seguir, dada a consistência de seu trabalho?
Na minha cidade, eu gosto do Soft Rebellion. Mas na minha cidade existem pintores muitos bons ...
Com que writer gostarias de fazer uma peça conjunta?
Com todos ... ou quase. Ahahah.
Quais são os teus planos / projetos futuros?
Pintar, pintar, pintar ... e pintar novamente.
Quantas exposições já fizeste? Quando vai ser a próxima?
Até hoje, apenas uma, numa loja.
A primeira a sério será em novembro numa galeria. Começa a 3 de novembro e termina a 30 de novembro, mal posso esperar !!

Not neglecting all my other guests, it is always with great satisfaction that I present interviews with foreign artists / writers.
When I started this project, I was simply interested in urban photography with an Instagram account that sought to make a difference and present the works of the new values of national graff and street art (some of them lesser known) alongside those of already established names. So, it's with a touch of pride that I see the path I've covered so far (and how much my blog can still grow), having all the effort and dedication resulted in a series of interviews that have already gone beyond national borders.
After the French Elgée, the Indonesian Nors, the Spanish Tr3scatorce and the Brazilians Refém, Rosarlette Meirelles and Harte (in addition to the photographers Wojtek Ścibor and STREET ART DAMSKO), my most recent interviewee comes from France.
It was on Instagram that I discovered BUSH's work. When I was doing a scroll session, this writer's works captivated my attention due to his styles (throwup and bubble), the use of primary colors and the way he uses abandoned spaces to enhance his work.
As with artists / writers whose work I like and I feel deserve to be publicized, I sent him an invitation for an interview, which was promptly accepted.

What is the meaning of your tag?
BUSH or BUSHUP is my name in Throwup / Bubble styles.
When I was young, BUSH was my nickname because I had my hair as a Bushman ... ahahah.
Are you trained in art? I am self-taught, my school is the street. ;) The walls served me for training.
When did it start your interest in graffiti and what were your influences at the time? Very early. I was just 13 or 14 years old, I lived in an apartment building opposite a supermarket and I was going to steal rotten bombs to make tags. No graffiti, just vandal tag ... I did my first graffiti at 17 years and paint until 21 years old. After I stopped longtime, because life has taken me on another way until the end of 2019.
What was the graffiti scene like when you started? For me, the graffiti scene was still quite inspired by New York graffiti throwup or block styles.
What are your crews? I don't have a crew, just friends with whom I love to paint or people I meet. Just for the feeling.
In how many countries have you painted? Just in France ! I (re)started to paint before the covid... travel it was forbidden.
What are your favorite spots / cities? My favorite spot is Toulouse. I also like the countryside roads.
Wall of fame, Street bombing or Train bombing? For sure, Street bombing.
How is your creative process and where do you get your inspirations? I don't really have a creative process, I scribble my throwup all day long on pieces of paper. No pencil or eraser, just a pen or marker and just a single throw. It's not very green ... Ahahah .... It's mechanical, I can do the same flop 500 times a thousand times, from time to time I make a new one, same way, that I draw dozens, hundreds times ... When I'm in front of the wall, I have my shapes engraved in my head.
Do you paint with sketch or freestyle?
No sketch, just the moment feeling !! Freestyle !!
What is your favorite can? For street Montana colors (Hardcore & 94) and Loop, for canvas Molotow premium.
What plays on your playlist when you paint? Ahahah, Big rap very heavy or reggae !!
How do you rate your country's graffiti level? Big level !! It's too much maybe ...
What is your top 3 writers? Any portuguese? I don't have 3 precise writers. With the internet today, I discover new painters all the time who are always better !!
I don't know a Portuguese painter in particular but when I go to Portugal I find amazing painters.
Which other French writers are worth following, given the consistency of their work? In my city I like Soft Rebellion. But in my city there are a lot of good painter ...
With which other writer would you like to perform a joint work?
With everyone ... or almost. Ahahah.
What are your future plans/projects? Paint, paint, paint ... and paint again.
How many exhibitions have you done? When is the next one? Until today, just one, in a shop.
My really first it will be in November in a gallery. Start 3 November and finish 30 November, I can't wait !!
