Stélvia Zamora, mais conhecida como MOAMI, considera-se uma “Criadora de Sonhos encantados num mundo de pensamentos de papel”.
Natural de Angola, foi no secundário que começou a riscar paredes. No início, a sua paixão era o lettering, mas a vontade de uma maior interação das pessoas para com os seus trabalhos levaram-na para a criação das diferentes personagens que constituem a sua marca distintiva.
Nas suas obras vibrantes e detalhadas (nas quais transparece a alegria da artista) não faltam referências às culturas angolana, havaiana, japonesa, portuguesa ou russa. O panda, animal preferido da artista, também é representado com frequência nas suas pinturas.
Podemos encontrar as suas obras em várias localidades de Lisboa (cidade pela qual a artista tem uma grande paixão), no concelho vizinho de Loures ou em diversos locais da Margem Sul.

Qual é o significado do teu tag?
O significado do meu tag MOAMI é muito complexo porque, além de ter o seu próprio desígnio em cada região do mundo, encaixa na perfeição com a pessoa em questão (meu de meu).

Tens formação em arte?
A formação que tenho em arte foi intuitiva por ter sido algo que realmente nasceu comigo e poucos nascem com este “dom”, mas é também familiar.
Quando cá cheguei e com a idade que tinha já trazia muita formação artística comigo e o que realmente me faltava para completar o que já fazia e sabia era pintar a Spray!
"Mas fui para a António Arroio onde passei nos 'testes' e eu não aceitei a vaga porque não queria estudar à noite. A minha formação foi bem o oposto do mundo da arte."
Quando começou o teu interesse pelo graffiti / street art e quais foram as tuas influências na altura?
O meu interesse pelo ”Graffiti” começou muito antes de saber que um dia iria fazer parte ou vir a pertencer ao movimento e a minha real influência foi ser a única coisa que me faltava fazer a nível de pintura e uso de matérias de desenho ("Spray”).
Já marcaste presença em alguns festivais de graffiti / street art e eventos similares. Qual foi aquele em que tiveste mais gosto em participar?
Sim, já. Até agora todos me deram um gosto especial em fazer parte deles e não consigo e nem quero especificar quais foram os que mais gostei, por ser injusto para quem tem o trabalho de organizar e fazer acontecer.

Também dás workshops? O que preferes, ensinar ou pintar?
Sim, dou. E agora mais gosto sinto e tenho em dar os workshops, porque criei o “SPRAY FOR ALL by Moami” onde tenho o prazer enorme de ensinar as técnicas teóricas e práticas do Graffiti e claro que pintar também é significativo para quem aprende e quem ensina.
Quais são os teus spots / cidades preferidos?
Os meus spots preferidos são todas as cidades onde já tive o prazer de estar e que me encantam só de lá estar. "Nacionais e internacionais."
Como é o teu processo criativo e onde vais buscar as tuas inspirações?
O meu processo criativo é muito simples, porque desenho e pinto praticamente todos os dias e as minhas reais inspirações vêm de pequenos ou grandes acontecimentos da minha pessoa ou do que me rodeia.
Pintas com sketch ou freestyle?
Normalmente faço os dois e se estivermos a falar de “streetart” tento sempre ter em conta o que está no sketch… huhhh! Mas a maioria das vezes memorizo o sketch porque esqueço-me de o levar comigo e faço freestyle. "Muitos dos murais foram feitos em freestyle!"

Preferes pintar sozinha ou em grupo?
A preferência depende sempre de como crio a ideia da nova personagem ou mural na minha cabeça.
Se tiver que ir pintar sozinha pinto e estou na minha bolha e se tiver que ir com mais alguém também pinto mas já estou a dividir a minha bolha. Huhhh!

Gosto de pintar principalmente comigo e com pessoas que queiram pintar com a minha pessoa.
Qual é a tua lata preferida?
Adoro todas as latas com alta pressão e morro de amores pela Montana Black.
O que toca na tua playlist quando pintas?
Na minha playlist toca tudo o que quero ouvir para traçar, para preencher e para finalizar o que estou a fazer. "E o que não pode mesmo faltar é Andrea Bocelli."
Qual é o teu top 3 de writers / artistas portugueses?
Não tenho top 3 de writers / artistas portugueses. "Se forem meus amigos não precisam de ser top 3, por já saberem a minha palavra sobre o trabalho deles."

Como descreves o panorama atual do graffiti e da street art em Portugal?
Não tenho muito a dizer sobre este assunto, porque vai dar sempre ao mesmo. "Então, prefiro não ter um parecer concreto sobre este tema."
Sendo mulher, alguma vez foste alvo de machismo no mundo do graffiti / street art?
Sim, já. E por três factores bem óbvios: por ser mulher, por ser negra e por pintar melhor e ter mais Skill que muito homem que anda por aí no Graffiti/Streetart.
"E sempre tive muito a aprender com estas manifestações machistas, porque hoje domino a lata de spray que uso."
Qual é o teu melhor trabalho?
Considero todos os meus trabalhos como os melhores porque todos tiveram e foram únicos na sua criação, mas também por ser uma forma verdadeira de representar e agradecer cada ser pensante que esteve ou está comigo nos dias em que estes trabalhos ganharam vida.
Quais são os teus planos / projetos futuros?
Os meus planos (que acabam por ser objetivos) são concluir todos os projetos que estipulei realizar até final do ano.

Stélvia Zamora, better known as MOAMI, considers herself a “Creator of enchanted dreams in a world of paper thoughts”.
Born in Angola, it was in high school that he began to scratch walls. In the beginning, her passion was lettering, but the desire for greater interaction between people and her work led her to create the different characters that make up her distinctive mark.
In her vibrant and detailed works (in which the artist's joy can be seen) there is no lack of references to Angolan, Hawaiian, Japanese, Portuguese or Russian cultures. The panda, the artist's favorite animal, is also frequently depicted in her paintings.
We can find her works in various locations in Lisbon (a city for which the artist has a great passion), in the neighboring municipality of Loures or in several places on the South bank.
What is the meaning of your tag?
The meaning of my MOAMI tag is very complex because, in addition to having its own design in each region of the world, it fits perfectly with the person in question (mine and mine).

Are you trained in art?
The training I have in art was intuitive because it was something that was really born with me and few are born with this “gift”, but also was familiar.
When I arrived here and at my age, I already brought a lot of artistic training with me and what I really needed to complete what I already did and knew was to paint Spray! "But I went to António Arroio where I passed the 'tests' and I didn't accept the place because I didn't want to study at night. My training was quite the opposite of the art world."
When did it start your interest in graffiti / street art and what were your influences at the time?
My interest in "Graffiti" started long before I knew that one day I would be part or come to belong to the movement and my real influence was being the only thing I needed to do in terms of painting and the use of drawing materials (" Spray").
You've already been present at some graffiti / street art festivals and similar events. What was the one you enjoyed the most to participate in?
Yes already. So far, everyone has given me a special pleasure in being part of them and I can't and don't even want to specify which ones I liked the most, as it's unfair for those who have the job of organizing and making it happen.
Do you also give workshops. What do you prefer, teaching or painting?
Yes, I do. And now I feel and enjoy giving more workshops, because I created the “SPRAY FOR ALL by Moami” where I have the enormous pleasure of teaching the theoretical and practical techniques of Graffiti and of course painting is also significant for those who learn and those who teach.
What are your favorite spots / cities?
My favorite spots are all the cities where I've had the pleasure of being and that I love just being there. "Nationals and internationals."
How is your creative process and where do you get your inspirations?
My creative process is very simple, because I draw and paint practically every day and my real inspirations come from small or large events in my person or my surroundings.
Do you paint with sketch or freestyle?
I usually do both and if we are talking about “streetart” I always try to take into account what is in the sketch… huhhh! But most of the time I memorize the sketch because I forget to take it with me and I do freestyle. "A lot of the murals were done in freestyle!"
Do you prefer to paint alone or in a group?
The preference always depends on how I create the idea of the new character or mural in my head. If I have to go paint alone I'm painting and I'm in my bubble and if I have to go with someone else I'm also painting but I'm already dividing my bubble. Huhhh! "I don't paint in groups but with people who also want to paint with me."
Who do you like to paint with?
I like to paint mainly with myself and with people who want to paint with me.
What is your favorite can?
I love all the high pressure cans and I love Montana Black.
What plays on your playlist when you paint?
In my playlist plays everything I want to hear to plot, to fill and to finish what I'm doing. "And what can't be missed is Andrea Bocelli."
What is your top 3 of Portuguese writers / artists?
I don't have top 3 of Portuguese writers / artists. "If they're my friends they don't need to be top 3, as they already know my word about their work."

I don't have top 3 of foreign writers/artists.
How do you describe the current panorama of graffiti and street art in Portugal?
I don't have much to say on this subject, because it will always be the same. "So, I prefer not to have a concrete opinion on this topic."
As a woman, have you ever been the target of machismo in the world of graffiti / street art?
Yes already. And for three very obvious factors: for being a woman, for being black and for painting better and having more Skill than many men who walk around in Graffiti/Streetart.
"And I always had a lot to learn from these macho manifestations, because today I master the spray can I use."
What is your best work?
I consider all my works as the best because they all had and were unique in their creation, but also being a true way of representing and thanking every thinking person who was or is with me in the days when these works came to life.
What are your future plans / projects?
My plans (turn out to be objective) to complete all the projects that have been carried out by the end of the year.
