O primeiro dia da NEON RETRO JAM (organizada por Magus) já ia a meio quando surgiu um último participante. G.run vinha recomendado por um amigo e trazia vontade de pintar.
Natural da Irlanda, o writer representa os FLNZ(Felonz) OSR(Outsiders).
Por cá, não tem perdido tempo a deixar a sua marca por Lisboa e pela Margem Sul, tendo já pintado com Que?, Rizo ou Kaz (quando é que tratamos da tua entrevista?).

Qual é o significado do teu tag?
Eu costumava escrever Engur e queria mudar isso, então perdi o "e" e reorganizei para Grun/G.Run. Nenhum significado.
Tens formação em arte?
Fui para a faculdade de arte, estudei pintura, mas o graffiti fica separado da prática artística.
Quando começou o teu interesse pelo graffiti e quais foram as tuas influências na altura?
Começou em 2008, havia muitas crianças a pintar na minha cidade nessa época, então foi natural para mim entrar no graff.
Como era a cena do graffiti quando começaste?
Cidade pequena local, então não havia uma cena além dos meus amigos com quem eu pintei.
Quais são as tuas crews?
FLNZ(Felonz) OSR(Outsiders) o dia todo.
Em quantos países já pintaste?
Acho que 7, mas pretendo viajar mais.
Quais são os teus spots / cidades favoritos para pintar?
Lisboa é a melhor cidade para pintar.
Durante esta passagem por Portugal, como avalias o nível de graffiti no nosso país?
Só estive em Lisboa até agora, mas há muitos writers de alta qualidade aqui.
O que preferes? Wall of fame, street bombing ou train bombing?
Depende das pessoas com quem estás, mas qualquer pintura é uma boa pintura.
Pintas com sketch ou freestyle?
Ambos. Principalmente freestyle na parede, mas às vezes planeio em esboço.
O que toca na tua playlist quando pintas?
Geralmente alguma mistura de hip hop. Algo para desfrutar e relaxar enquanto pinto.
Já organizaste algumas jams na Irlanda. Tens planos para organizar alguma aqui?
Em algum ponto.
Qual é o teu top 3 writers irlandeses?
Na Ilha Esmeralda, sem nenhuma ordem particular, Feic/Feck, Bore e Artz. A par com quaisquer writers internacionais de topo.

Que conselho dás a quem está a dar os seus primeiros passos no graffiti?
Assista a batalhas de estilos, pratique o básico. Pinte com pessoas diferentes e não leve a coisa muito a sério.
Qual é a tua obra preferida?
Gosto de pintar personagens e peças grandes, mas as minhas cenas favoritas são os blockbusters pintados em conjunto com a crew.
Quais são os teus planos/projetos futuros?
Pintar em mais países e com mais lisboetas.
Tens alguma história que queiras partilhar?
Passei algumas horas a ser perseguido pela polícia numa pequena cidade depois de fazer um viaduto de uma auto estrada. Eu e meu amigo separámo-nos imediatamente e fomos perseguidos a noite toda, perdi os meus óculos, tive que me esconder num jardim por uma hora, correr por uma floresta e um rio e finalmente cheguei a casa encharcado e coberto de espinhos e cortes. Pensei que o meu amigo foi apanhado quase de certeza e, depois de 30 minutos, ele chegou em segurança também. Tive que tirar espinhos das minhas mãos durante 2 semanas depois disso. O spot funcionou por alguns meses e nunca conseguimos fotos dele. Alegrias da vida de Graff.

The first day of the NEON RETRO JAM (organized by Magus) was already halfway through when one last participant appeared. G.run was recommended by a friend and he wanted to paint.
Born in Ireland, the writer represents the FLNZ(Felonz) OSR(Outsiders).
Around here, he has wasted no time leaving his mark on Lisbon and the South Bank, having already painted with Que?, Rizo or Kaz (when do we do your interview?).

What is the meaning of your tag?
I used to write Engur and wanted to change it up so lost the e and rearranged to Grun/G.Run. No meaning. Do you have art training?
Went to art college, studied painting but graff is separate to art practice. When did your interest in graffiti begin and what were your influences at the time?
Started in ‘08, there was a lot of kids painting in my town at the time so it was natural for me to get into graff. What was the graffiti scene like when you started?
Local small town so not much of a scene other than my friends who I painted with. What are your crews?
FLNZ(Felonz) OSR(Outsiders) all day. In how many countries have you painted?
I think 7 but plan to travel more. What are your favorite places/cities to paint?
Lisbon is the best city to paint.
During your visit to Portugal, how do you rate the level of graffiti in our country?
Only been around Lisbon so far but there are lots of top quality writers here. What do you prefer? Wall of fame, Street bombing or Train bombing?
Depends on the people your with but any painting is good painting. Do you sketch or paint freestyle?
Both. Mostly freestyle at the wall but sometimes plan a sketch.
What plays on your playlist when you paint?
Usually some hip hop mix. Something to enjoy and chill while painting.
You have already organized some jams in Ireland. Do you have plans to organize one here?
At some point.
What is your top 3 Irish writers?
On the Emerald Isle, no particular order Feic/Feck, Bore and Artz. On par with any top international writers. What about foreign writers?

What advice would you give to someone who is taking their first steps in graffiti?
Watch style wars, practice the basics. Paint with different people and don’t take it too seriously.
What is your favorite work?
Like to paint characters and big pieces but my favourite action is crew teamwork blockbusters.
What are your future plans/projects?
Paint more countries and with more Lisbon locals.
Do you have a story you want to share?
Spent a few hours being chased by police in a small town after doing highway bridge. Me and my friend split immediately and were being chased all night, lost my glasses, had to hide in a garden for an hour, run through a forest and river and finally getting home soaking wet and covered in thorns and cuts. Thought my friend was caught for sure and after like 30 minutes he arrived safe too. Had to pick thorns out of my hands for 2 weeks after that. Spot ran for a few months and we never got photos of it. Joys of Graff life.
