Shock / Cadáver é um writer da Invicta.
Com um estilo que resulta da mistura das suas influências e de alguns detalhes que lhe chamaram a atenção, é fã do impacto, letras fortes e cores com alto contraste. Como o próprio menciona: "Gosto de dar uma peça em que é preciso olhar mais que uma vez para apanhar os detalhes e, claro, tem de ser grande. Basicamente, quando vou pintar, procuro sempre dar algo em grande que seja quase impossível não se ver".
A pintar há uns 5 anos, este membro dos AC'S refere que o início foi o mais complicado. Começou sozinho e sem qualquer conhecimento e, até descobrir o que queria fazer e a maneira de o executar, ainda foram 2/3 anos em que andou meio “perdido”.
No seu percurso contou com o apoio da sua crew e da equipa da Norte Color, o ponto de encontro onde é feito o aquecimento para as missões. É também na loja que se pode encontrar o seu famoso “mata-toys”, um bagaço que é o melhor combustível para um boa noite de graffiti.
Hoje em dia , o writer respeita todas as maneiras de ver o graff, pois não há um caminho definido a fazer. Cada um deve traçar o seu, sem nunca desrespeitar as letras.

Qual é o significado dos teus tags?
O conceito de ambos os meus tags é a desconstrução de mim próprio e das minhas inseguranças.
"Shock" porque sempre fugi ao choque durante os meus anos de atleta e sei que isso me limitou e "Cadáver" era uma alcunha que me deram por ser muito magro e que odiei durante muito tempo, até ao dia em que a adotei e lhe dei o meu significado. Todo o meu graffiti anda à volta da desconstrução e evolução pessoal.
Tens formação em arte?
Nenhuma. Estudei e continuo a estudar letras, mas tudo o que seja fora do graffiti nunca fiz nem tenho muito interesse. Gosto mesmo é de letras.
Quando começou o teu interesse pelo graffiti e quais foram as tuas influências na altura?
Começou mais tarde que a maioria, já tinha 20 quando comecei a dar os primeiros toques. Não tinha grande conhecimento nem sabia como começar, mas tentei sempre ouvir quem já o fazia, para aprender e evoluir. Por isso, as minhas influências foram todos os que perderam tempo e partilharam dicas, desde técnicas a atitudes.
Shoutout aos HRS que foram a minha primeira crew e onde aprendemos algumas coisas juntos, à minha crew AC'S que tenho o maior orgulho de representar e é uma grande família e, claro, aos meus manos Whose, Cier, Armes, Kes e muitos mais que não cabem aqui. Como era a cena no graffiti quando começaste?
Eu comecei há 5 anos, por isso a cena era muito igual à de agora. Claro que há sempre pessoal a entrar e outros a sair, mas isso é o flow natural da cena.
Quais são as tuas crews?
A minha primeira crew foram os HRS de Vila do Conde, mas seguimos caminhos diferentes, o que me trouxe à minha crew AC'S que é o que represento e carrego ao peito para onde for. AC'S e Norte Color são as minhas crews. Quais são os teus spots / cidades preferidos?
Porto e auto-estradas. Pintar no Porto é sempre especial e auto-estrada é sempre sinónimo de festa e momentos engraçados.
Já pintaste fora do país?
Madeira não sei se conta... mas fora isso, só em Espanha, para já. Como é o teu processo criativo e onde vais buscar as tuas inspirações?
O processo criativo é algo que não sei explicar muito bem, é um bocado caótico pois é raro saber o que vai sair de um sketch. Normalmente deixo-me ir pelo flow do momento, mas sempre a seguir um fio condutor que traga alguma lógica à confusão e complexidade das letras, é um caos organizado muito semelhante ao mundo em que vivemos.
Wall of fame, street bombing ou train bombing?
Tudo tem o seu espaço e valor.
Wall of Fame é onde consigo expressar melhor as minhas visões e estéticas, o que me faz evoluir e aperfeiçoar o estilo, enquanto que no Bombing não consigo ir tão longe na produção. Mas, como estou numa crew de bombers, tenho aprendido, aos poucos, a misturar os dois e a tentar criar sempre alguma complexidade na rua.
Trains ainda não dei, por isso não posso falar. Mas um dia isso muda (ahahaha). Pintas com sketch ou freestyle?
Quase sempre freestyle one liner, como sair é como vai ficar, incluindo cortes que nunca dou. Eu acredito na filosofia de mostrar a técnica acima de tudo, por isso o meu graff procura ser o mais orgânico e transparente possível.
O que toca na tua playlist quando pintas?
De tudo um pouco, depende da companhia, do sítio, mood (ahahaha). Mas, por norma, hip-hop sempre, seja tuga ou estrangeiro.
Ouvir beats para criar algo é incrível, pois não ficas preso à letra e à mensagem. Como descreves o panorama atual do graffiti em Portugal?
Em Portugal não sei o suficiente para falar. Mas aqui no Porto acho que temos uma scene bem viva, muito pessoal a pintar bem, muitos projetos e cenas que juntam o pessoal e, claro, não posso deixar de falar na Norte Color, que luta, desde o início, pela união do movimento, com eventos e apoios a muitos writers.
Que diferenças encontras entre o graffiti do Norte e o do resto do país?
Talvez no Porto haja uma maior união ou, pelo menos, um maior contacto entre writers. Em Lisboa sinto que a cena está mais individualizada enquanto que aqui no Norte o pessoal junta-se muito para pintar.
Qual é o teu top 3 de writers portugueses?
Um deles é o incontornável SEN, claro. Depois, tenho 3 writers que considero top 3 porque pude aprender com eles e ajudaram-me a ganhar noções de estética e estilo que são o DEKS (ACK), o WHOSE (NUIT) e o Cier (GMB). O Deks pelo power e impacto que as peças dele têm, o Whose por nunca abdicar do estilo seja um spot que tens 10 minutos ou outro em que tens 2 horas para pintar e o Cier pelo perfecionismo que aplica, estes 3 partilham a minha filosofia de que "se é para pintar, é para matar o spot com todas as armas que temos".
E de writers estrangeiros?
Posso dar o top 3 por zonas, pois gosto de muitos writers para conseguir fazer uma lista (ahahaha). Califórnia e Malásia / Tailândia são as minhas maiores influências no que toca a estilos. Com quem gostarias de fazer uma peça conjunta?
Com quem o quiser. Mas, principalmente, com alguns writers que estudei muito, sobretudo para lhes mostrar isso mesmo (ahahaha).
Quais são os teus planos / projetos futuros?
O plano é sempre evolução, novas formas de dobrar as letras e de trocar os olhos ao pessoal, novos estilos, novas maneiras de ver a cena. Basicamente, o plano é não me prender e desconstruir as regras para as puder quebrar a meu gosto, anti-dogmas e limitações, criar uma identidade pessoal e intransmissível.
Qual é aquela peça que te falta fazer (pela complexidade, tamanho, local, …)?
Faltam todas as que ainda não fiz. Não há quotas nem grandes planos mas faltam sempre peças (ahahaha).
Tens alguma história que queiras partilhar?
Todas as noites em que se pinta regado a bagaço caseiro há uma história... mas a maioria são todas pessoais e com inside jokes, por isso não faz sentido partilhar (ahahaha).

Ui, são tantos (ahahaha)...
Depois, vai para pessoal que conheci pelo graffiti e que, direta ou indiretamente, me ajudaram a evoluir e a crescer ou até pela boa disposição que sempre me apresentaram: CIER, KES, WHOSE, NASTY, ARMES, MAGE, ABRAH, HOLIE, BERRO, PINI, BICHOS, SAMU, SURGE, COUE, ODRA, SEKA, ATO e mais alguns que estou a falhar, de certeza.

Shock / Cadaver is a writer from Invicta. With a style that results from the mixture of his influences and some details that caught his attention, he's a fan of impact, strong letters and high contrast colors. As he himself mentions: "I like to give a piece where you have to look more than once to catch the details and, of course, it has to be big. Basically, when I'm going to paint, I always try to give something big that is almost impossible not see". Painting for about 5 years, this member of AC'S says that the beginning was the most complicated. He started alone and without any knowledge and, until he found out what he wanted to do and how to do it, there were still 2/3 years in which he was a little “lost”. Along the way, he had the support of his crew and the Norte Color team, the meeting point where he warms up for the missions. What is the meaning of your tags? The concept of both my tags is the deconstruction of myself and my insecurities. "Shock" because I always avoided shock during my years as an athlete and I know that it limited me and "Cadáver" was a nickname they gave me because I was very thin and that I hated for a long time, until the day I adopted it and I gave my meaning. All my graffiti revolves around deconstruction and personal evolution.
Do you have art training? None. I studied and continue to study letters, but anything outside of graffiti I've never done and I'm not very interested. I really like letters. When did your interest in graffiti begin and what were your influences at the time? It started later than most, I was already 20 when I started to give the first touches. I didn't have much knowledge or know how to start, but I always tried to listen to those who were already doing it, to learn and evolve. Therefore, my influences were all those who took the time to share tips, from techniques to attitudes. Shoutout to HRS who were my first crew and where we learned a few things together, to my AC'S crew that I'm proud to represent and is a big family and of course to my brothers Whose, Cier, Armes, Kes and many more that don't fit here.
What was the graffiti scene like when you started?
I started 5 years ago, so the scene was pretty much the same as it is now. Of course, there are always people coming in and people leaving, but that's the natural flow of the scene.
What are your crews?
My first crew were the HRS from Vila do Conde, but we followed different paths, which brought me to my AC'S crew, which is what I represent and carry on my chest wherever I go. AC'S and Norte Color are my crews.
What are your favorite spots / cities?
Porto and highways. Painting in Porto is always special and the highway is always synonymous with parties and funny moments.
Have you ever painted abroad?
Madeira I don't know if it counts... but other than that, only in Spain for now.
How is your creative process and where do you get your inspirations?
The creative process is something that I can't explain very well, it's a bit chaotic because it's rare to know what will come out of a sketch. I usually let myself go with the flow of the moment, but always following a thread that brings some logic to the confusion and complexity of the lyrics, it's an organized chaos very similar to the world we live in.
Wall of fame, street bombing or train bombing?
Everything has its space and value. Wall of Fame is where I can best express my visions and aesthetics, which makes me evolve and perfect my style, whereas in Bombing I can't go that far in production. But, as I'm in a bomber crew, I've been learning, little by little, to mix the two and always try to create some complexity on the street.
Trains I haven't given yet, so I can't speak. But one day that changes (ahahaha).
Do you paint with sketch or freestyle?
Almost always freestyle one liner, how it goes is how it will look, including cuts I never give. I believe in the philosophy of showing technique above all else, so my graff seeks to be as organic and transparent as possible.
What plays on your playlist when you paint?
A little bit of everything, it depends on the company, the place, mood (ahahaha). But, as a rule, always hip-hop, be it tuga or foreigner.
Listening to beats to create something is amazing, because you're not stuck with the lyrics and the message.
How do you describe the current situation of graffiti in Portugal?
In Portugal I don't know enough to talk. But here in Porto I think we have a very lively scene, very personal painting well, many projects and scenes that bring people together and, of course, I cannot fail to mention Norte Color, which fights, from the beginning, for the union of the movement. , with events and support to many writers.
What differences do you find between the graffiti of the North and the rest of the country?
Perhaps in Porto there is a greater union or, at least, a greater contact between writers. In Lisbon I feel that the scene is more individualized while here in the North people get together a lot to paint.
What is your top 3 of Portuguese writers?
One of them is the unavoidable SEN, of course. Then I have 3 writers that I consider top 3 because I was able to learn from them and they helped me to gain notions of aesthetics and style, which are DEKS (ACK), WHOSE (NUIT) and Cier (GMB). Deks for the power and impact that his pieces have, Whose for never giving up style, be it a spot where you have 10 minutes or another where you have 2 hours to paint and Cier for the perfectionism he applies, these 3 share my philosophy of that "if it's to paint, it's to kill the spot with all the weapons we have".
And from foreign writers?
I can give the top 3 by zones, because I like a lot of writers to be able to make a list (ahahaha). California and Malaysia/Thailand are my biggest influences when it comes to styles.
Who would you like to do a joint piece with?
With whoever you want. But, mainly, with some writers that I studied a lot, mainly to show them that (ahahaha).
What are your future plans/projects?
The plan is always evolution, new ways of bending the letters and changing people's eyes, new styles, new ways of seeing the scene. Basically, the plan is not to arrest me and deconstruct the rules so I can break them to my liking, anti-dogmas and limitations, to create a personal and non-transferable identity.
What is that piece you need to make (due to complexity, size, location, …)?
Missing all the ones I haven't done yet. There are no quotas or grand plans but pieces are always missing (ahahaha).
Do you have a story you want to share?
There's a story every night when you paint watered with homemade bagasse... but most are all personal and with inside jokes, so there's no point in sharing (ahahaha).
