As jams de Magus não param de dar frutos.
Depois de G.run e Bugster, que conheci pessoalmente num desses eventos, trago-vos agora a entrevista de Maria Papa que esteve presente na FREAK SHOW JAM, em Agosto do ano passado.
Formada em Arquitetura, a minha convidada também tem gosto pela pintura.
Entre os temas escolhidos para as suas obras, destacam-se os rostos, os animais e a cidade.

Magus' jams don't stop bearing fruit. After G.run and Bugster, who I met personally at one of those events, I now bring you the interview with Maria Papa who was present at the FREAK SHOW JAM, in August last year.
Graduated in Architecture, my guest also has a taste for painting.
Among the themes chosen for his works, faces, animals and the city stand out.
Get to know her a little better.
Maria Papa
Originally from Romania.
After studying Arts in secondary education, she graduated in Architecture at ISCTE-IUL.
With more than 400 works executed and some collective and individual exhibitions, the artist continues to persevere in her artistic growth.
What do you prefer, architecture or painting?
I still don't feel able to choose between the two. In fact, I don't know if I'll ever put one of them aside. They are two complex worlds, with a lot to explore and in which I will always want to go further.
Where do you get the inspiration for your works?
I'm passionate about faces, looks, expressions... anonymous people who just by looking at them can tell us a story, their story, these are the ones that inspire and mark me.
What has it been like to paint in the abandoned sites?
Difficult, challenging but exciting.
The wall is very different from the paper, what I know how to do with one doesn't work the same way with the other. It takes training and understanding of the surface in question, which I lack.
What material do you prefer to work with?
At this stage, no doubt coal. It's curious what you can achieve with a bar of charcoal... soft textures, thick and contrasting strokes...
What are your future plans/projects?
I dream of having a big atelier where I can dirty the floor and walls at will. The future plan is to achieve the dream.
